New Principal Jeremy Anderson will lead practice

San Diego, Calif. – Barney & Barney LLC, one of California’s largest and longest-standing insurance brokerages, announced today the launch of the firm’s national Compensation Consulting Practice. This new addition will offer clients a unique and specialized level of expertise in the areas of executive compensation, sales effectiveness consulting and broad-based rewards advisory services. The practice will be led by Jeremy Anderson, who joined the firm as a Principal on January 1.

"Barney & Barney continues to grow at an aggressive rate - even in this tough economy – and the addition of the Compensation Consulting practice is an integral part of our growth strategy," said principal Shawn Pynes, who heads the firm’s Employee Benefits Division. "Jeremy and his team have particular expertise in working with firms in the life sciences and technology sectors. These are two core industry areas for Barney & Barney, as we represent a large constituency of these companies in California."

Prior to joining Barney & Barney, Anderson worked for leading compensation consulting firms, helping hundreds of companies to design and implement executive compensation programs, sales incentive plans, equity strategies and performance management systems. He will expand these offerings at Barney & Barney and also assist clients with the development of organization-wide communication strategies in support of new program launches.
