Out of the fifty-five finalists, only five were recognized in each of the large, medium and small business categories. The award rankings were based largely on the results of anonymous employee surveys that assessed how associates feel in regards to leadership, communication, work environment, training and development, benefits and pay, and more. "This is the third time in recent years that we’ve been recognized as a best place to work in San Diego, and we couldn’t be prouder – it means we’re doing something right," said Paul Hering, Managing Principal and CEO of Barney & Barney.
