Bill Murphy joined Barney & Barney in 2008 as a Principal. He serves as Director of Sales for the Employee Benefits Department.
Bill has been in the insurance industry for over 25 years, with extensive health and welfare experience in underwriting, sales and sales management.
Bill came to Barney and Barney from Unum Group where he served as Senior Market Manager in both San Diego and San Francisco. Prior to joining Unum Group, he was a 13 year associate of Confederation Life Insurance Company.
A graduate of The University of Georgia, Bill holds a degree in Economics. He also holds the professional designations of CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) and FLMI (Fellow Life Management Institute). Bill sits on the school board of St. John the Evangelist Catholic School, is an active volunteer at the Ecke YMCA and coaches competitive soccer for the Encinitas Express Soccer Club.
