Catherine joined Barney & Barney in 2002 and became a Principal in 2010. With over 13 years in the insurance industry, Catherine has devoted her career at Barney & Barney to the Employee Benefits Division.

Prior to joining Barney & Barney, Catherine worked at the Automobile Club of Southern California where she was responsible for business development and client management for a variety of insurance products. This combined with her employee benefits experience provides Catherine with an extensive working knowledge of risk management and health & welfare consulting.

Working as an advocate on behalf of her clients, Catherine leads a team dedicated to serving both as an extension of human resources and as a strategic business partner. Catherine is responsible for establishing strategy and designing employee benefit packages to address the varied needs of the companies she works with. She is a member of Barney & Barney’s healthcare practice group, but also works with a variety of other business sectors.

Catherine is actively involved with the National Human Resources Association’s San Diego affiliate having held several positions on the board including President, Treasurer, and most recently, Co-Director of Programs.

Catherine earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from California State University, San Diego.
